Python Engineer - Contract - Inside IR35

We’re gearing up for an exciting new project launching in the next couple of weeks, and we’re looking for skilled Python Engineers to join our team on a contract basis (Inside IR35).

Given the quick turnaround, we’re especially keen to hear from candidates who are immediately available or have a short notice period.

Requirements

Essential Behaviours
These are the most important things to us, we can teach skills, but behaviours are much harder to teach.

• A passion for engineering and a desire to keep learning
• A focus on writing clear, concise code that is easy to maintain
• An ability to be pragmatic when required and avoid unnecessary “gold-plating”
• An understanding that quality is everyone’s responsibility and a strong desire to test your own code
• Comfortable working with others in pairing or mobbing scenarios
• A good communicator who shares our values of openness and respect

Essential skills

• Experienced in Python specifically Django framework
• Experience with Next Js and Typescript with tailwind
• Experience designing and writing APIs, especially REST APIs
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD via GitHub Actions pipelines
• Experience working with AWS
• Experienced in Terraform

Desirable skills
These are the little bit extra, cherry-on-top skills that will help you stand out. Still give us a shout if you haven’t currently got these skills though!

• Experience of Wagtail CMS
• Experience of FastAPI
• Experience working in the public sector.
• Experience working in a technology or consulting company.
