Python Application Engineer (Remote)

The Product Development team is seeking a high achieving individual capable of supporting our extensive portfolio of innovative healthcare products. Our Product Development team is responsible for the development and enhancement of the BEKHealth platform. Specifically, you will be building software that facilitates the identification and enrollment of patients in critical areas such as cancer and Alzheimer’s.

Your Mission:

  • Producing high-quality, maintainable code and technical documentation

  • Development of exciting new features while maintaining existing products

  • Integrate new features and functionality into existing microservices

  • Support product management in the development, maintenance, and execution of product roadmap

  • Ensure compliance with software development life cycle and other processes

Your Competencies:

Your Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a technical or scientific field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.

    • 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, software developer, or related role

  • Experience with Python required

    • Experience with frameworks such as Flask, Fast-API, or Django required

    • Experience with Celery, or other asynchronous libraries preferred

    • Experience with GraphQL, (graphene and graphene-mongo) preferred

  • Experience with back-end databases such as Postgres and MongoDB

    • Experience with database design and optimization is a plus

    • Experience dealing with protected health information (PHI) is a plus

    • Experience with 21 CFR part 11 and validated systems for clinical research and clinical trials is a plus

  • Experience with Docker/Docker Compose preferred

  • Experience with Kubernetes preferred

    • Experience with EKS a plus

  • Cloud oriented and familiar with SaaS models.
