We’re doubling down on our investment into the PX team in 2023 to supercharge BARB’s growth. Reporting into the PX Operations Manager, this role will help us streamline our processes, and create great experiences for every Rocketeer.
Our PX Operations team exists to make sure everyone’s experience at BARB is smooth as can be. A typical day will involve scheduling interviews for potential Rocketeers, drafting offer letters and contracts, adding info to our internal tools like HiBob, and also diving into project work to continually improve the way we work across many geographies.
Most importantly, you’ll be our data guardian, you’ll be handling some of our most sensitive information so we need you to be someone who prides themselves on discretion and attention to detail.
The best bit is you’ll be part of a brilliant and growing team; you’ll be the first point of contact for the People Experience team here at BARB and get to influence our reputation as a team from day 1.
-
Enabling smooth candidate experiences - every candidate deserves to have a smooth experience when they interview with us. We’ll need your help to support our Talent Partners by scheduling interviews and updating our interview kits in Greenhouse.
-
Onboarding our new Rocketeers! You’ll be the go to person for new joiners, welcoming them to the team and showing them around how we work at BARB so they’re confident to kick-off their journey. Being reliable and approachable is key
-
Delivering an amazing People Experience service - being the face of the PX team and first point of contact for all people-related questions; answering at lightning speed (or at least in real time) Think of this as Customer Service, but internally for our colleagues!
-
Creating guides that cover our most frequently asked questions - to help our people understand our processes and ways of working.
-
Being our People Data Guardian - we need you to organise, maintain and protect the accuracy of all the People files and data in our tools (e.g. HiBob, Greenhouse etc.) so all our information is 100% accurate and up to date at all times.
-
Building PX analytics & insights - taking raw data from our tools to deliver insights for our leadership team (e.g. time to fill, time to answer questions, turnover, absence). You’ll also develop systems and structure that ensure our underlying data is accurate.
-
People Experience Operations - creating and sharing employee documents across multiple geographies (e.g. promotion letters, contracts etc.), as well as delivering a seamless payroll experience with Finance & our payroll providers.
-
Automating and improving - you’ll be constantly looking at more efficient ways to execute in your role and will work with the rest of the PX Ops team to visualise and automate our ways of working and processes. Of course, you’re excited about developing your career in People Experience!
-
Surprising and delighting - this is where you can really flex your creative muscles, get ready to work closely with our PX Designers & Partners and in broader collaboration with other departments to help us create unforgettable employee experiences.
This role is a great fit if:
-
You have proven experience developing and leading People interventions that deliver business results.
-
You’re experienced in managing the roll-out of new People initiatives and processes - ideally across multiple countries or in a rapidly changing environment.
-
You can spot a typo a mile off - you pride yourself on your accuracy and attention to detail.
-
You’re a clear and effective communicator - you know how to treat everyone like a customer and enjoy building relationships across a business.
-
You’re eager to learn - a growth mindset that enables you to learn from failure and constantly improve.
-
You love technology - and love to find more efficient ways of doing things, you have experience with existing HRIS & ATS tools as well as MS Office.
-
You’re proactive - you enjoy getting your hands dirty to build something great. You bring new ideas to the table.
-
You’re customer-focused - you can think from other people’s perspectives and put yourself in their shoes.
-
You’re adaptable - plate spinning comes naturally to you, you’re able to prioritise your workload and dealing with curveballs that come your way.
-
You behave with integrity - you do not cut corners ethically and can be trusted to do what you’ll say you’ll do.
-
