In this role, you will take on a key responsibility in leading a team of Purchasing Coordinators within our International Supply Chain Operations function. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our purchase orders to suppliers across all European markets. Working closely with the local Supply Chain teams, and Procurement this role will supervise the generation and distribution of purchase orders, contributing to our ongoing efforts to drive business success and enhance customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

  • Lead a team of Purchasing Coordinators to accurately and efficiently carry out purchasing activities
  • Partner closely with local HelloFresh supply chain cluster teams to execute daily operations through ruthless prioritization, clear governance and alignment on strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy and correct flow of information to relevant stakeholders involved in the daily activities.
  • Accountability for key performance metrics including On Time, In Full (OTIF), Waste, ASN Compliance and customer errors for purchasing completed by you and your team.
  • Ownership of the inbound supply chain operations involving operational supplier management, purchasing, delivery tracking and KPI management for your category area.
  • Define a governance and reporting framework to escalate and manage risks  throughout the European supply chain.
  • Establish and drive consistency across all regions and assign workload in the team accordingly to ensure team objectives are met. Regularly review team capacity to reallocate resources effectively and strengthen the service capabilities. 
  • Generate documentation in the form of  SOPs to ensure efficient onboarding and BAU operations of your team.
  • Build a continuous improvement culture to harmonize and automate the purchasing process. Compile tooling requests and recommendations.
  • Set up measures to report on performance of the Purchasing services, present to key stakeholders and provide actionable insights.
  • Provide guidance, support and feedback to ensure that all team members meet their performance goals and deadlines. Motivate your team to go above and beyond. 
  • Serve as the subject matter expert of the team, role modeling problem solving behaviors 
  • Remain flexible and responsive to changing business needs, supporting on day to day tasks as needed and covering absences when required

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree graduate preferably with a strong background in Supply Chain Operations, Management or any Business-related course.
  • Three years experience working within procurement, supply chain and/or as a data entry clerk.
  • One year of people management experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Experience managing or reporting on KPIs
  • Experience using Microsoft Office & Google suite programs (ERP/MRP systems is a plus)
  • Language: English, other European languages considered a plus (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian)
