About the role:
The Associate, Provider Operations acts as the operational engine for Oscar Medical Group, bridging the gap between clinical staffing needs and corporate administrative functions. This is a business management role focused on the day-to-day people operations of our provider workforce. You will be responsible for the integrity of our people-data ecosystem—managing the intersection of payroll, HR systems, and clinical operations to ensure the business scales efficiently. Additionally, you will be analyzing data to improve workflows, ensure multi-state compliance, and serve as a strategic operational partner to OMG leadership.
You will report into the Director, Clinical Operations.
Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid
Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $87,768- $131,652 annually. You are also eligible for employee benefits, 18 PTO days annually in addition to sick time, 9 paid holidays and 4 personal holidays days per year. You may also participate in Oscar's and 401K plan with 2% corporate matching and immediate vesting!
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the primary operational link between OMG Clinical Leadership, HR, Finance, and Payroll to ensure provider-related business needs are met.

Identify and implement process improvements across day-to-day people operations and administrative workstreams to reduce manual work and increase data accuracy for a multi-state clinical workforce.

Analyze payroll and operational data to identify trends, reconcile discrepancies, and provide insights that influence budget and headcount planning.

Manage the end-to-end integration of providers into HR and Payroll systems, ensuring that operational data flows seamlessly between platforms.

Partner with HR Business Partners and Clinical Leads to triage and resolve complex operational inquiries, serving as a subject matter expert on OMG-specific pay structures.

Ensure all provider operations maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in a complex, multi-state healthcare environment.

Required Experience and Education

3+ years of experience in payroll, HR operations, or related business operations role

2+ years of experience in Excel and/or Google Sheets

2+ years of experience developing and running analytics on operational data

2+ years of experience supporting end to end payroll processing (Justworks, Workday etc)

2+ years of experience working in multistate payroll environments
