The Proposal Graphic Designer (1099) is an independent consultant that works with our New Business team on proposals, capability statements, and presentations that help us win contracts within Federal government clients. They adhere to specific requirements and coordinate with our proposal graphics coordinator to meet proposal deadlines. They use tools such as Adobe Illustrator and PowerPoint to create and edit infographics, export them as .jpg files, and independently track their graphics. They work independently to manage their workload and are excellent communicators, helping teams meet deadlines. Candidates have 3-5 years of graphics experience, with at least 1 year of experience in Federal proposals.
This 1099 position is fully remote, but candidates must be in the Eastern Standard Time Zone, be U.S. citizens without any dual citizens, and able to meet service level agreements.
Responsibilities
- Use graphical design tools, including primarily Adobe Illustrator and PowerPoint, to create graphics and enhance presentations for a consulting firm
- Design compelling graphics including complex infographics for Federal government proposals and other functions as an independent contractor, making sure that graphics convey the brand and theme consistently for each proposal
- Collaborate effectively with proposal graphics coordinator to receive instructions and graphic mock-ups and templates PowerPoint, and Adobe Illustrator files
- Follow instructions related to font and font size requirements and other related instructions to create graphics on scale with strong attention to detail
- Be able to produce new graphics with strong attention to detail and quickly modify existing graphics to fit specific needs
- Communicate with internal team members to meet all deadlines, including short-term around assignments with a focus on accuracy and clarity
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of graphics design experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in creating graphics for Federal government proposals
- Ability to create, edit, and exportgraphics in the latest version of Adobe Illustrator to be included in Word documents and PowerPoint presentations; Knowledge of other graphic design tools desired but not required
- Ability to use PowerPoint, create templates, and develop graphics in PowerPoint to support proposals and presentations
- Ability to create a look and feel for an individual document or proposal that is consistent, clear, and compelling and all graphics are integrated and effective
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word for publishing desired but not required
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely, with a focus on customer service and timely, accurate communications
- Ability to name and organize original graphics files, use versioning, and be able to access prior graphics for reuse in an efficient maner.
- Technologically savvy, especially with Adobe and Microsoft products
