Tayco is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Project Specialist of Sales and Product Strategy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to execute strategic initiatives for large projects and government business, from quotation to Installation, in collaboration with Sales, Design and Project Management teams.

This role is for an upcoming vacancy and will be a contract position with an expected duration of approximately 14 months. The ideal start date is March 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collecting analytical data on large projects won and lost to compare and strategize.
  • Responsible for reviewing large project BID’s and RFP’s including government and private business in the Canadian and/or USA market.
  • Understand the full scope of assigned projects, from design, sales strategy and engineering across North America and manage those projects from start to finish.
  • Offer insights and guidance with large dealer partner project quotes to ensure they are done to spec and with engineering requirements in mind (value engineer where needed).
  • Required to be able to quote within CET, Giza or CAD when needed.
  • Work on and review BID submissions from large dealerships, coordinate with the designer and the sales team on how we can quote to win.
  • Conduct site visits, whether local or require travel within Canada and the USA to review on site concerns/issues in coordination with large projects won.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Offer creative solutions for Tayco through active involvement with the Tayco Sales Team, dealers, and outside designers. Including, but not limited to, Project proposals, BID packages.
  • In coordination with the Project Manager, lead a collaborative team of key stakeholders from engineering, design, and sales to ensure the success of each large project.

Requirements

  • Degree, Diploma, or Certificate from a post-secondary institution preferably in business, interior design, architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven abilities to:
    • Check integrity of layouts.
    • Read, interpret, and re-create documents such as Drawings/Floor Plans and written specifications.
    • Assist customers with order-related and installation questions.
    • High quality rendering capabilities.
    • Think critically and strategically.
    • Work within AutoCAD, 2D and 3D, proficiently.
    • Work within CET, Giza, 2020, SIF programs proficiently.
    • Achieve results. Make the correct decisions and implements the necessary changes required to achieve the goals/objectives.
    • Create and maintain a project plan.
    • Be organized and detail-oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently; able to create realistic schedules and meet deadlines under stress and interruptions.
    • Commit to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Leverage resources to deliver results. Solve problems and makes appropriate decisions.
    • Promote and generate cooperation from all members of the project team; foster the development of a common project vision and objectives and fully participates in creating a unified team that get results.
    • Manage conflict.
    • Communicate well in writing and in speaking.
    • Strong presentation skills.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Travel within Canada/USA will be required.

Salary range: $60,000 - $65,000
