Role overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in leading transformation initiatives within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of strategic change programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large-scale transformation programs within the banking domain.
- Own full project lifecycle delivery: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Drive governance, risk management, and issue resolution across workstreams.
- Manage cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, and third-party vendors.
- Ensure alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Oversee implementation of target operating models, system changes, or regulatory initiatives.
- Track and report project progress to senior leadership and steering committees.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulatory, risk, and control frameworks.
- Support change management and business readiness activities.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience delivering transformation programs within the banking sector.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stream projects (e.g., digital transformation, regulatory change, core banking replacement, operating model transformation).
- Strong understanding of banking products, operations, and regulatory landscape.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, timelines, and project governance.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, including senior executive engagement.
- Excellent risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
