POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives across the technology and operations teams. This role involves planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget while ensuring alignment with strategic goals. The ideal candidate will maintain exceptional communication, foster collaboration, and uphold high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) and manage Jira boards
  • Support change management initiatives and the adoption of new systems or processes

COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field strongly preferred
  • PMP or Agile certification preferred
  • 3–5 years of project management experience, ideally within technology or aviation-related industries
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project
  • Understanding of Salesforce, system integrations, or SOC2 compliance (preferred)

Skills: 

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in project tracking, reporting, and stakeholder management
  • Skilled in Agile methodology and process optimization

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Primarily office-based, with 1 remote/ work from home day each week.
  • Conditions: General office environment with moderate noise levels.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Extended periods sitting at a desk or workstation.
  • Occasional walking/ movement between work areas (e.g., meetings, restrooms, or kitchen).
  • Repetitive Hand and Wrist Movements via frequent typing and use of a mouse.
  • Light lifting of office supplies, documents, or equipment (up to 20 lbs).
  • Screen Use: Prolonged use of a computer screen

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a Full-Time Exempt position.

TRAVEL:

Limited, but may require occasional overnight travel for industry conferences, meetings, or operational oversight at other locations.

This Project Manager position offers a competitive annual salary of $100,000–$125,000. Final compensation is determined by experience and location, and the role is eligible for Magellan Jets’ full benefits package.
