❗ Read This First

This is not a "desk job" where you manage spreadsheets from a distance. At Critical Control, Project Management means being the tip of the spear in high-stakes environments. You will be responsible for leading teams through complex large commercial losses and fast-paced residential projects alike.

We are a tech-forward restoration company. We don't do things "the old way" just because it’s familiar; we use custom technology and data-driven processes to disrupt a stagnant industry. If you are uncomfortable with rapid change, high accountability, or rolling up your sleeves in the field, this role is not for you. We only hire A+ players who want to win.

🎯 The Mission

Own the entire lifecycle of mitigation projects—from the initial emergency response to the final invoice approval. You are responsible for ensuring every job, whether a $1M commercial loss or a residential water damage, is executed with surgical precision, maintaining elite customer service, and protecting the company's gross profit targets.

Requirements

🛠️ Your Responsibilities

🌊 Full-Spectrum Mitigation (Water, Fire, Mold)

  • Expert Oversight: Serve as the subject matter expert on-site for water, fire, and mold remediation for both commercial and residential properties.
  • Resource Allocation & Cost Oversight: Rigorously manage and monitor all resources – equipment, labor, and subcontractors – to meet project goals while controlling costs
  • Protocol Management: Ensure all drying logs, moisture maps, and IICRC standards are strictly followed and documented in real-time.
  • Safety & Quality: Direct the setup of specialized equipment and containment to ensure a "five-star" outcome on every site.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure full regulatory compliance on every loss site. A large loss PM should verify that all operations meet OSHA and EPA standards and that workers follow proper PPE, hazard mitigation, and containment procedures

🏢 Commercial & Residential Leadership

  • Complex Management: Lead large-scale commercial projects ($500K+) and manage high-profile stakeholders, including facility managers and executives.
  • Residential Focus: Manage residential claims with the same level of precision, ensuring homeowners feel supported and informed throughout the process.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage third-party vendors, industrial hygienists, and subcontractors to keep jobs moving at high velocity.

📑 Claims & Invoice Management

  • Adjuster Relations: Act as the primary technical point of contact for insurance adjusters, navigating the claims process with transparency and expertise.
  • Invoice Approval: Own the responsibility for getting invoices approved; you must be able to justify scopes and documentation to ensure full and timely payment.
  • Scoping & Estimating: Work with the estimating team to ensure accurate, defensible scopes that capture the full extent of the loss.

✈️ CAT Responder (Travel Team)

  • Deployment Ready: Be prepared to deploy within 4 hours of notice for regional or national catastrophe (CAT) work.
  • Field Command: Operate effectively in chaotic, resource-constrained environments during hurricanes, freezes, or wildfires.

📈 KPIs & Performance

  • Profitability: Maintain Gross Profit (GP) targets across all assigned projects.
  • Adjuster Approval Rate: Achieve 95%+ approval on submitted invoice packages with minimal pushback.
  • Cycle Time: Ensure documentation and "clean" invoice packages are ready within 48 hours of job completion.
  • Customer Experience: Maintain a 5-star rating and high NPS scores from both residential and commercial clients.

✅ You Are

  • A Restoration Veteran: 5+ years in the industry with strong experience in large commercial losses and residential mitigation.
  • IICRC Certified: WRT and ASD are required; AMRT and FSRT are highly preferred.
  • A Tech-Forward Operator: You view CRM hygiene and mobile documentation as a weapon, not a chore.
  • Mobile: Willing and able to travel for extended periods (1-2 months at a time) for CAT work.

🚫 You Are Not

  • A "Firefighter" Hero: We don't want someone who thrives on chaos; we want someone who builds systems to prevent it.
  • Tech-Resistant: If you still rely on paper notes and "the way we've always done it," you won't survive here.
  • Office-Bound: This role requires you to be in the field, leading your crews and managing the site.
