Project Manager

Language Empire, a leading provider of face-to-face interpreting and translation services, is seeking a Project Manager to join our team. We are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team, ensuring the successful delivery of bid projects and leading initiatives that contribute to the company’s ongoing success.  As a Project Manager, you will take the lead on managing and coordinating bids from start to finish. You will oversee the entire bid process, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality submissions. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, drive process improvements, and play a key role in the company's growth.

What will you be doing?

• Take full ownership of bid projects, ensuring all submissions are on time, within scope, and meet client requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including bid writers, subject matter experts, data analysts, and other departments to gather necessary information for bids.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress and addressing any delays or issues to ensure smooth delivery.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders throughout the bid process, ensuring effective communication between internal teams and external partners.
• Ensure that all proposals are of the highest quality and meet the tender specification
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define the bid strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s objectives and client needs.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on bid progress, risk factors, and final submission outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve bid management processes and systems to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and win rates.
• Identify potential risks within bid projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

• A degree or equivalent experience in business, project management, or a related field

• APMP certification or similar project management qualifications e.g., PRINCE2, PMP are essential.

• Proven experience managing projects, particularly within a bid management or business development environment.
• Experience in managing public sector bids, PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), and ITTs (Invitations to Tender) is desirable.
• Understanding of bid frameworks and industry-specific regulations is desirable.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to co-ordinate diverse teams.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality and compliance.
• Previous experience in a similar role handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Previous experience of co-ordinating cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluating project impact
