Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a Project Manager to lead a critical Infrastructure Migration Project focused on implementing OpenShift across multi-cloud, hybrid, or on-prem environments. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, and ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline while aligning with banking governance and regulatory standards.
What you will do:
- Deliver infrastructure projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring compliance with financial services standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
- Coordinate technical teams to produce clear, achievable designs and recovery documentation.
- Ensure production and maintenance of high-quality documentation, including recovery runbooks and architectural designs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
- Liaise with business stakeholders to capture requirements and provide guidance on best practices.
- Ensure adherence to the bank’s governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and technical standards.
- Oversee and align delivery activities across all specialist roles.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritise OpenShift implementation requirements.
- Partner with the OpenShift Architect / SME to define technical roadmaps and standards.
- Coordinate with the Senior OpenShift Engineer on multi-cloud, hybrid and on-prem cluster architecture design.
- Lead collaboration with Infrastructure Engineers on virtual machines, storage, and networking layers.
- Support OpenShift Administrators in cluster installation, management, scaling, and upgrades.
- Align with DevOps Engineers to automate and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with API Integration Engineers to automate integration workflows.
- Collaborate with Automation Engineers on provisioning, patching, and scaling automation.
- Ensure continuity of service in partnership with Platform Support teams.
- Maintain governance, compliance, and control alignment with IT Security Officers.
- Manage third-party vendors and ensure delivery milestones are achieved.
- Track project spend and maintain alignment with approved budgets.
- Proactively manage risks, resolve issues, and track interdependencies across the programme.
- Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure projects within financial services or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of systems architecture, operational processes, and OpenShift (mandatory).
- Previous banking project experience is desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management, organisational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure delivery environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
