Fraport Greece (FG), in the framework of the operation of the 14 Regional Airports, seeks for a " Project Manager " in the Design & Construction/Technical Division.

The role of the position “Project Manager” is to ensure the proper delivery and handover of design & construction projects on time, to standard and within budget. Specifically, the role manages projects that include design, permitting, procurement, implementation, handover and final completion.

The position reports to the Head of Design & Construction.

Requirements

What you will be doing:

  • Manage mainly detailed designs, upon conceptual design delivery through approved consultants.   
  • Develop the employer’s requirements, coordinate the project initiators’ requirements, and project planning & budgeting.
  • Initiate and manage the procurement stream in cooperation with the budget owners and the procurement department.
  • Act as the liaison between the contractor and Fraport Greece departments in order to ensure submittal of required documentation (HIRA, Health & Safety plan, etc.) and arrange for the official Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority receipt when required.
  • Track progress, quality of the designs and constructions, anticipate and solve obstacles to implementation. Report project status to Project Controls & Reporting.
  • Handle contractual and routine coordination with the contractors. 
  • Accept work and approve progress payments in accordance with the Contract.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience (lead or participate in design &  construction projects)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable requirements in the area of aerodromes is a plus
  • Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written at a professional corporate level).
  • Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fulfilled Military Obligations (if appropriate).
