Project Manager for Funded Projects

ActionAid Hellas (AAH) is searching for a PROJECT MANAGER for Funded Projects , to join a global movement of committed individuals working to further human rights and defeat poverty.

Main Responsibilties

• Lead the successful implementation of all project deliverables, developing and managing an implementation timetable to ensure high-quality delivery within the contracted timeframe and budget.
• Track progress against project objectives, ensuring full completion according to the project work plan.
• Direct and oversee the implementation of project actions, collaborating with project team members internally and externally, following the project's work plan.
• Ensure the completion of project deliverables to meet contractual obligations, actively contributing to their development..
• Ensure compliance and relevance with donor requirements.
• Ensure efficient and effective monitoring and implementation of project budgets.
• Establish effective systems, with support from the Monitoring & Evaluation department, to monitor and evaluate the quality of project delivery.
• Co- develop and monitor the implementation of comprehensive project visibility and communication /dissemination plans.
• Prepare and submit high-quality narrative reports to donors.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks, providing alternative courses of action and contingency plans proactively if necessary.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Evaluate project partners and external collaborators (if applicable) using established assessment processes and tools.
• Work effectively in cross-functional projects when needed.
• Ensure that the implementation of activities is absolutely aligned with ActionAid’s accountability principles.
• Contribute to developing a departmental strategic plan and budget and new proposals for funded projects.
• If required, monitor allocated budget activities and expenditures and adapt accordingly through the year.
• Work effectively in cross functional projects to identify and implement milestone actions where necessary
• Work effectively with other departments / directorates, manage issues with clarity and to ensure effective information flow and team working.
• Work effectively with relevant international teams to maximize the benefits of international collaboration & shared learning.

Requirements

• An academic degree in the fields of Social Sciences/ Humanities / Political Studies/ Business Management / Engineering
• At least three (3) years of working experience in project management for social / educational / youth projects, with a good knowledge of EU-funded projects implementation cycle and corporate donors / foundations.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, experience in managing teams.
• Experienced in reporting for diverse donors.
• Ability to organize and coordinate many tasks.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Ability to think creatively and innovate.
• Excellent use (both oral & written) of Greek and the English languages.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
