Project Manager - Fabrication

POSITION OVERVIEW  Job Title: Project Manager  Reports To: President or Director of Operations  Job Summary: The Project Manager (PM) for a contractor plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of contract construction projects from commencement (contract award) through final completion. The PM is responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific multiple projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The PM is responsible and accountable for the overall success or failure of the project.  Key Performance Objectives
  • Manage all activities leading to the successful, timely, and safe completion of each project. 
  • Manage the overall scheduling of each project assigned; working with the project team to ensure project(s) are completed on time and all deadlines are met. 
  • Communicate with all departments to ensure project efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Ensure transparency, reporting and sharing of information effectively across all departments.  
  • Manage job cost reporting for all projects and monthly billing; including invoicing and pay applications.  
  • Promotes continuous improvement and contributes to company-wide policies, standards, and procedures.  
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison to prospective and current clients or 3rd party owners. Act as the first point of contact for addressing all project management concerns; including contracts, Change Orders, RFI’s, Submittals, etc.  
  • Manage the start-up and execution of all project documents; including but not limited to, budget, bid proposal(s), scope(s) of work, schedule of values, contracts, change orders, RFI’s, submittals, and closeout documents. 
  • Create and maintain master schedule for project n in conjunction with the Director of Production, including individual project schedules. Provide bi-weekly updates to the President and project team.
