Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance) for the new record retrieval platform.
  • Gather and document business requirements from internal stakeholders, clients, and compliance teams.
  • Oversee medical record retrieval operations during the transition to the new platform, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, UX, and product management to deliver on-time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and applicable interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7).
  • Establish performance KPIs for both the platform and the retrieval process.
  • Manage vendor relationships for any integrated EHR or API solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications – Required:

  • 5+ years in healthcare project management, with experience in platform development or large system implementations.
  • Proven ability to manage both technical teams and healthcare operations staff with the ability to bridge technical architecture and operational requirements.
  • PMP, CSM, or similar preferred.
  • Experience with EHR integration, API-based health data exchange, and medical record workflows.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Willingness to work US PST business hours (or with some overlap)
  • Deep understanding of medical record workflows and interoperability standards.
  • PMP or CAPM certification.
  • RHIA, RHIT, or other AHIMA certification in health information management.
  • Experience with medical coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
  • Background in working with release-of-information (ROI) vendors or health data aggregation companies.
