YOUR POSITION: Project Manager

YOUR ROLE:

The Project Manager will learn and own the end-to-end delivery and ongoing management of our credit cards programs. 

This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, compliance, and external partners, ensuring card programs are launched on time, operate reliably at scale, and meet scheme, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
You will act as the central point of coordination between internal teams and external partners such as issuing banks, processors, card schemes, and vendors.

This position will allow you to grow valuable knowledge and understanding of the Credit and Cards industries, experience in managing multiple programs and gain a rewarding experience of improving our Monefit Products by helping to bring new payment options and technologies. 

Requirements

Card Program Ownership:

  • Support the full lifecycle of card programs: design, launch, scaling, and optimization; 
  • Define program requirements across BIN sponsorship, processing, scheme rules, fraud and regulatory;
  • Become the subject-matter expert on card issuing and program structures;
  • Work with Product team to define global strategy and plans ; 

Partner & Scheme Management:

  • Manage relationships within our partners ecosystem: issuing banks, processors, acquirers, manufacturers and card schemes (Visa/Mastercard);
  • Coordinate scheme registrations, certifications, audits, and rule compliance;
  • Lead negotiations on commercial terms, SLAs, and change requests;
  • Partners dashboard management; issues tracking and resolution. 

Delivery & Launch Management:

  • Lead cross-functional delivery with Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Support;
  • Own timelines, milestones, and dependencies for new card projects;
  • Ensure smooth go-lives, cutovers, and post-launch stabilization.

Operational Excellence:

  • Define and maintain card operational processes (authorizations, settlements, chargebacks, disputes, tokenization);
  • Monitor program performance, KPIs analysis, incident management, and SLAs;
  • Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and scalability.

Risk, Compliance & Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with scheme rules, AML, fraud, PCI DSS, and local regulatory requirements;
  • Support audits, scheme monitoring programs, and regulatory reviews;
  • Partner with Risk & Fraud teams to optimize controls without harming customer experience.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Provide clear updates to senior stakeholders on program status, risks, and performance;
  • Translate complex card and scheme topics into actionable insights for non-specialists.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; 
  • Business acumen, Project management experience, Data driven; 
  • At least 1 year experience in card issuing, card programs, credit, or payments (fintech, issuer, processor, or scheme);
  • Hands-on working with partners: issuing banks, BIN sponsors, and processors.

Nice to Have 

  • Knowledge of card issuing and processing flows;
  • Experience launching Products in multiple markets (UK/EU);
  • Background in credit, BNPL, Fintech;
  • Customer Service or Operations experience;
  • Experience with scheme certifications and audits;
  • Exposure to tokenization (Apple Pay, Google Pay).
