Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in core banking systems, ideally Avaloq, to lead strategic banking technology projects. The PM will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage core banking transformation projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for Avaloq or similar system implementations.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Oversee system migration, integration, and customization activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project risks, timelines, and deliverables, providing regular status updates to senior management.
  • Drive change management and training for impacted teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years experience in Project Management within banking or financial services.
  • Proven track record in core banking system projects (Avaloq preferred; Temenos, Flexcube also relevant).
  • Strong understanding of banking processes: payments, lending, securities, compliance.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiations.
