Project Manager - Commercial Solar & Energy (EPC)

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial solar and energy (C&I) projects across the Los Angeles market.
This role is responsible for full project lifecycle execution—from preconstruction through Permission to Operate (PTO)—including permitting, utility coordination, and field operations. You will work directly with utilities (LADWP, SCE), jurisdictions, and field teams to deliver projects efficiently and independently.
This is a high-impact role for someone who can own projects end-to-end, remove bottlenecks, and drive execution with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial solar and energy projects from preconstruction through PTO
- Lead permitting, inspections, and utility interconnection processes
- Interface directly with LADWP, Southern California Edison (SCE), and local jurisdictions
- Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and project schedules across multiple projects
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Own project timelines, budgets, and execution
- Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in project management (solar, renewable energy, or electrical construction)
- Direct experience managing commercial (C&I) solar/energy projects (not residential-only)
- Strong knowledge of LADWP, SCE, and utility interconnection processes
- Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
- Experience with permitting, inspections, and utility coordination
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction plans
- Experience managing field teams and multiple concurrent projects
- Background in solar EPC, electrical contracting, or energy infrastructure (preferred)
