Project Manager, Commercial Flooring

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead commercial flooring, tile, and stone installation projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role focuses specifically on managing interior finishes scopes, including coordination of field crews, subcontractors, materials, and installation sequencing. The position is based onsite in Kansas City, Kansas and plays a key role in ensuring flooring and tile projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards. This is a strong fit for someone with direct experience in commercial flooring or tile construction who understands installation methods, production flow, and jobsite coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial flooring, tile, and stone installation projects from award through completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking specific to flooring scopes
  • Coordinate installation crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries for tile and flooring systems
  • Review architectural drawings, finish schedules, and tile layout plans for accuracy and execution
  • Track project progress and ensure installation meets quality standards and production timelines
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation related to flooring and finishes
  • Communicate with general contractors, field teams, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee procurement of tile, stone, adhesives, and flooring materials to align with schedules
  • Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with construction and installation standards
  • Support project closeout including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing commercial flooring, tile, or interior finishes projects
  • Direct experience with tile, stone, flooring, or architectural finishes required
  • Strong understanding of flooring installation methods, sequencing, and jobsite coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, finish schedules, and specifications
  • Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules simultaneously
  • Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, field crews, and material logistics
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work onsite in Kansas City, KS
