Project Manager

What You'll Own

• Lead commercial tile installation projects from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating directly with GCs, architects, and ownership groups across multiple simultaneous project types
• Drive the specification and value engineering process early — bringing cost-saving alternatives and material knowledge to the table before problems hit the field
• Own the schedule: set milestones, manage subcontractor and crew coordination, and hold the timeline accountable without sacrificing craftsmanship
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, keeping communication proactive and issues resolved before they escalate
• Collaborate with estimating on scope review, change order management, and budget oversight from award through final billing
• Ensure field crews have the information, materials, and direction they need to execute — bridging the gap between the office and the job site daily
• Document project progress, RFIs, submittals, and punch list resolution with precision
• Represent the organization's reputation on every project — this team's name means something, and you'll be part of protecting it

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing commercial construction projects, ideally with a specialty subcontractor (tile, flooring, finishes, or similar trade experience strongly preferred)
• A working knowledge of tile systems, installation methods, floor prep, and material specifications — or the technical curiosity and construction background to get there fast
• Proven ability to manage multiple active projects without losing detail or composure
• Strong GC and owner relationship skills — you communicate clearly, follow through, and people trust you
• Comfort reading construction documents, writing RFIs, managing submittals, and handling change orders end-to-end
• Proficiency with project management tools and standard construction software
• A mindset built around ownership, not task completion — you run your projects like they're your name on the wall
