Project Manager

Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role focuses on managing complex mechanical scopes including HVAC and piping systems on projects typically valued at $250K and above. The position plays a key role in driving project performance, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring successful delivery across multiple phases. This is a strong fit for someone with experience handling larger project scopes and working closely with both field and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial performance
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to meet key milestones and deadlines
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient execution
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for scope alignment
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all project documentation
• Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to clients and stakeholders
• Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and project partners
• Identify risks and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical, HVAC, or construction project management
• Experience managing larger-scale projects (typically $250K+ in value)
• Background working for mechanical contractors, engineering firms, or design-build environments preferred
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and project lifecycles
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree or PMP certification is a plus but not required
