This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability. POSITION SUMMARY: World Relief is seeking a Project Manager to join our newly formed Advancement Operations department. This role will both lead cross-functional projects as assigned and start of project management center of excellence for the division. This role will be critical in bringing efficiencies to our ways of working, role clarity across projects, transparency to priorities and status, and speed to decision-making on trade-offs and escalations.    The Project Manager will report to the Sr. Director, Advancement Operations.  ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leadership and Management: 
  •  - Establish standard project intake, prioritization, and approval processes 
  •  - Define required project management milestones (charter, roadmap, RACI, status reporting)   
  • - Play a leadership role with Advancement’s project management software, Asana, and train users throughout the division on how to use it effectively     
  • Project Management:  As assigned and using project management best practices, you will: 
  •  Define project goals, scope, timelines, resources, and potential risks.   
  • - Assemble teams, define roles, motivate members, and ensure effective communication. 
  •  - Oversee daily tasks, track progress, ensure quality, and manage changes.   
  • - Allocate resources and manage project finances, in coordination with Business Insights and Operations. 
  •  - Identify and mitigate risks, keep stakeholders informed, and manage expectations. 
  •  - Evaluate outcomes and ensure deliverables meet objectives.  
  •  - Share learnings and apply to future projects.     
  • Portfolio Influence: 
  •  - In partnership with Sr. Director of Advancement Operations, establish a portfolio view of prioritized projects for the full division to access 
  •  - Establish and execute an escalation and trade-off process when capacity is met 
  •  - Help facilitate decision-making for trade-offs and risk mitigation strategies 
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices. 
  •   Proven ability to use data and analytics to drive decisions and optimize projects.   
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  •   Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks in a fast-paced work environment 
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field;   
  • PMP certification required, or on track to complete within 6 months; and   At least 5 years in results-driven project management roles with a clear track record of success; 
  •    Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement in a complex organization; 
  •  Demonstrated experience leading and engaging with multiple stakeholders of all levels; 
  •  Experience communicating and facilitating decision-making with executive and C-suite leadership a plus;   
  •  Passion for welcoming refugees and guiding them on a path to belonging in local communities.   
  • Able to attend our bi-annual in-person team meetings in March and September
