As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a driven and commercially minded Project-Led Sales Executive to join their team to lead the sales of a new projects division of the business. Currently as a business we supply and install the gates and automation however we are now looking to offer a full turnkey entrance solutions for clients. This will involve us carrying out the gate piers, walls, driveways and more.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing the full sales cycle, and overseeing projects from initial enquiry through to final installation.

The Project-Led Sales Executive will play a pivotal role in driving new business and overseeing high-value projects end-to-end. You will be responsible for generating leads, nurturing relationships, specifying solutions, preparing quotations, closing sales, and ensuring the successful delivery of each project.

This role is a hybrid mix of internal and external activity. You will spend time with architects, contractors, and end clients

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively identify and generate new project opportunities through architects, contractors, and end users.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the specification chain
  • Attend face-to-face meetings and site visits as required.
  • Deliver technical product presentations and assist with solution specification.
  • Prepare clear and accurate quotations, proposals, and project costings.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial lead to contract close.

Project & Financial Oversight

  • Oversee each project from a commercial perspective, ensuring profitability and adherence to budget.
  • Work closely with internal teams to monitor progress, timelines, and material requirements.
  • Identify potential risks, cost discrepancies, or scope changes, ensuring variations are properly managed and communicated.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and project documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date CRM records, sales pipeline forecasts, and activity reports.
  • Report regularly on project performance, sales progress, and key commercial metrics.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a project-led sales role within construction, manufacturing, or a technical/engineered product environment.
  • Experience selling to architects, contractors, and/or high-end residential clients.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, costings, and profitability.
  • Comfortable running the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Ability to read drawings/technical specifications (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple live projects.
  • Full UK driving licence.
