Title: Project Engineer – Transportation PM

A leading engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager to support traffic analysis and transportation planning projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and implement innovative solutions for various transportation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage projects, assignments, and new business pursuits.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • Lead the development of project proposals and interview presentations.
  • Engage with clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Supervise project teams in the preparation of design documents, technical plans, and reports.
  • Provide roadway, roadway modification, and intersection design guidance while overseeing project development and mentoring junior staff.
  • Analyze and evaluate design options using best engineering practices to develop practical solutions.
  • Review construction plans, design calculations, and cost estimates for accuracy and compliance with local standards.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control through the review of construction plans, specifications, and estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a strong foundation in civil and traffic engineering concepts.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction, design, engineering, and project management, including staff management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam Software (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Caltrans Standard Plans & Specifications, APWA Greenbook, Caltrans Highway Design Manual, California MUTCD, and municipal design standards.
