Project Engineer - Construction

POSITION OVERVIEW  Job Title: Project Engineer  Reports To: Project Manager  Job Summary: The Project Engineer is responsible for providing direct support to the company supervision and clients to ensure the construction work complies with all standards, codes, and specifications.  Key Performance Objectives
  • Support the Project Management team in all activities leading to the successful, timely, and safe completion of each project. 
  • Manage contract document management for all projects, including maintaining construction management software. 
  • Communicate with all divisions to ensure project efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Ensure transparency, reporting, and sharing of information effectively across all departments. 
  • Provide support for all projects and monthly billing; including invoicing and pay applications. 
  • Promotes continuous improvement and contribution to company‐wide polices, standards, and procedures. 
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison to prospective and current clients or 3rd party owners. Act as a secondary point of contact for addressing all project management concerns; including contracts, change orders, RFI’s, Submittals, etc. 
  • Communicate professionally, effectively, and within a timely manner with prospective and current clients through the bid phase. Available via phone, email or in person meetings to review estimates with prospective clients and / or project team. 
  • Assist in the start‐up and execution of all project documents; including but not limited to, budget, bid proposal(s), scope(s) of work, schedule of values, contracts, change orders, RFI’s, submittals, and closeout documents. 
  • Read and interpret established scope of work, plans, specifications, addenda(s), budget, schedule and misc. correspondence regarding each project. Ensure complete understanding of all project requirements and documents. 
  • Maintain all contract documents in Procore; including but not limited to, maintenance of logs for drawings, submittals, and documents to project management team and subcontractors.
