Overview We are seeking an experienced, licensed Professional Engineer (PE) specializing in project engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold active PE licenses in California and ideally Hawaii, with a proven ability to lead and manage projects that involve coordination among multiple disciplines and agencies. Key Responsibilities Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for select projects, reviewing and stamping engineering packages where required. Coordinate and manage design input from multiple disciplines and external consultants, including: Civil, geotechnical, and coastal engineers Environmental and drainage consultants Septic and utility designers Lead technical coordination among architecture, manufacturing, and construction teams to ensure design intent and constructability. Support permitting and approvals by interfacing with planning departments, design review boards, and local agencies. Review design documents, submittals, and shop drawings for compliance, constructability, and consistency across trades. Conduct periodic site visits and inspections to support field teams and respond to plan check comments. Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to keep workstreams aligned and on schedule. Prepare and review structural reports, calculations, and submittal packages for permitting and construction Qualifications
  • Active PE license in California (required)
  • Active or eligible PE license in Hawaii (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering coordination, project delivery, or construction oversight
  • Working knowledge of California Building Code and related standards (CBC, IBC, ASCE 7)
  • Understanding of seismic, coastal, and site development requirements
  • Familiarity with prefabrication or modular construction methods
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proven experience managing consultants and agency interactions
  • Proficiency in relevant tools such as AutoCAD and MS Project (or equivalent)
  • Preferred
  • Experience in residential, modular, or factory-built construction
  • Familiarity with jurisdictional permitting processes in Los Angeles County or Hawaii
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-discipline projects through all stages of design and construction
