Project Engineer / Lead Mechanical Engineer – Stockholm - (all genders)

Your mission

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a flair for client interaction to bridge the gap between our cutting-edge UAV technology and our strategic partners. You won’t just be designing; you will be the technical face of the company, translating complex mechanical requirements into mission-critical solutions for the Nordics defense landscape.

Responsibilities

  • You will be the technical point of contact to define customer needs and translate them into actionable mechanical requirements.
  • Build and integrate mechanical and mechatronic components
  • Support subsystem and system-level tests; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across mechanical and basic electrical domains with speed.
  • Read complex drawings and schematics to execute work to exact specifications, documenting findings and deviations with high detail.
  • Work cross-functionally with Mechanical, Electrical, and Test Engineering teams to maintain hardware velocity.
  • Continuously improve build procedures, tools, and methods as we scale our production and deployment.

Qualifications

  • Background in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience with Solidworks/CATIA and Prototyping / Additive Manufacturing
  • Experience with robotics, UAVs, machinery, or similar hardware is a plus
  • Defence/ Aerospace/ Electronic Warfare experience is desirable
  • Strong "shop floor" skills: assembly, wiring, sensors, troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working in workshop/test environments with fast iteration cycles
  • Structured, reliable, and comfortable with ownership
  • Native/ Full professional proficiency Swedish or Norwegian  language skills are a must have
  • You must be eligible for Swedish security clearance (Säkerhetsprövning) and be willing to travel to Germany and other European locations.
