Hycamite is now looking for a project engineer
The project engineer is responsible for technical tasks related to the design and implementation of plant projects, as well as technical sales support. The goal is to ensure that project planning and implementation proceed according to set schedules, costs and quality requirements, supporting the company's strategic goals and the needs of international customers.
Key responsibilities
Sales support
Act as technical support for the sales organization in matters related to customer projects.
Prepare technical descriptions, concept information and preliminary plans to support quotations.
Participate in discussions with customers on technical implementation in an international environment.
Project planning
Participate in the basic and implementation planning of plant projects (layout, process solutions, technical documents).
In cooperation with other stakeholders, ensure the feasibility, safety and cost-effectiveness of design solutions.
Assist the project manager in preparing project plans, schedules and cost estimates.
Project implementation
Participate in the practical implementation of projects, e.g., by providing technical support for procurement, resolving site issues and preparing for commissioning.
Supervise and monitor the progress of projects in agreed areas.
Identify and report risks and propose alternative solutions.
Documentation and reporting
Prepare and maintain technical documents, drawings and project reports.
Report on progress to the project manager and other stakeholders.
We expect you to have
A relevant technical degree (e.g., process engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering, industrial engineering).
At least 2–3 years of experience in industrial investment projects (design, implementation or operation).
Experience in plant design and working with contractors in international projects is an advantage.
Skills and qualifications
Technical expertise: Good understanding of process industry equipment and systems.
Project management: Experience in project planning and implementation as part of a multidisciplinary organization.
Communication: Ability to communicate technical matters clearly to various stakeholders, including in an international environment.
IT skills: Good basic skills in technical documentation and project management software.
Willingness to travel internationally (occasionally at the beginning of the assignment, regularly during the project implementation phase).
Excellent English language skills: other language skills are considered an advantage.
You will succeed in this role if you have an analytical and solution-oriented approach to work and good collaboration and communication skills. You can adapt to changing situations and schedule pressures, and you have a desire to develop as a project work professional.
