Project Controlling Manager

As Project Controlling Manager, you play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and transparency across Movu Robotics’ global project portfolio. You ensure sound financial control, accurate forecasting, and clear reporting, acting as a trusted business partner to Project Management and Operations. Combining strong analytical insight with hands-on leadership, you help build a scalable, high-performance project controlling function within a fast-growing industrial automation company.

Key Responsibilities : 

• Lead project financial management across all phases — budgeting, forecasting, margin tracking, and cash flow analysis.
• Deliver accurate and timely insights on project performance, identifying risks, variances, and opportunities early on.
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure cost control, profitability, and compliance with internal financial standards.
• Oversee month-end closings, accruals, percentage of completion, and project reporting, ensuring consistency and reliability across all regions.
• Act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, turning financial data into actionable recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement of controlling tools, reporting processes, and automation capabilities.
• Serve as key user for the project controlling IT landscape and contribute to ERP/BI enhancements.
• Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of controllers, fostering ownership, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications, a successful Project Controlling Manager:

• Holds a Master's degree in a relevant field as finance, business, analytics, etc.
• Brings solid experience in the responsibilities listed above.
• Is able to balance short term requirements with continuous improvements to support strong future growth.
• Is fluent in Dutch and English (French is an asset).
• Is proficient in MS Office and analytical tools.
• Can prepare clear, insightful management reports and has excellent communication skills.
• Is a strong team player who can also work independently.
• Has at least 10 years of experience in project controlling, including initial team leadership experience.
• Has previous experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Module.
