What You Will Do:

  • Support administration of the site Surface Project Control Program in collaboration with the Capital Portfolio Manager
  • Manage forecasting requirements across the portfolio, working closely with Project Managers
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual forecasting accuracy targets
  • Assist Project Managers with development and execution of capital projects using Planisware software
  • Monitor and control project costs
  • Develop reports detailing portfolio progress
  • Lead and facilitate meetings and presentations at all levels of management
  • Support change order and contingency management
  • Actively manage annual portfolio cashflow for both annual and multi-year budgets
  • Troubleshoot financial topics within various systems and software
  • Continuously improve portfolio management processes and systems
  • Manage project accruals, cost reconciliation, and closeout activities
  • Escalate concerns, issues, and risks to appropriate management
  • Engage with project stakeholders and report progress to management

Hours of Work:

  • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 9-80 schedule
    • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 9-hour days (45 hours)
    • Week 2: Monday to Wednesday, 9-hour days; Thursday, 8 hours (35 hours).

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience; potash industry experience is an asset
  • Maintenance, project, or operational experience at an operating facility or heavy industrial site is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in software including Microsoft Excel, Planisware, Enterprise Asset Management Systems (Oracle), and Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and flexibility in managing changing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex software and financial issues
  • Self-starter with excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills
