The Project Controls Analyst (PCA) is responsible for project data (costs, schedule, progress, communication, billing, closeout, etc.) for assigned natural gas distribution/utility projects. The PCA is required to have a solid understanding of the natural gas industry. The PCA supports the Project Manager(s) (PM) to complete projects within scope, on schedule, and on budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with PMs to anticipate project demands and resolve issues that arise during the project life cycle.
- Assist PMs with the development of a clear project scope and analyze scope data.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and actual costs; prepare cost reports; and analyze cost data.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and actual progress based on information provided by PMs or team members; prepare schedule reports; and analyze schedule data.
- Review and track invoices and payments for Magnolia River and subcontractors.
- Constantly seek to find signs of problems before they occur. Identify warning signs and elevate them to the appropriate level.

- Develop and maintain a professional rapport with client, project team members, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Participate in process improvement team efforts to achieve divisional/company objectives.

- Perform other duties as required by assigned projects.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of computer applications and functions including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software (Microsoft Project, Unanet, etc.).

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least two (2) years of related project controls experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Project Management (PMP certification is preferred).
- Experience with project management software is preferred.
- Natural gas or utility experience is preferred.
