Project-Based Full-Stack .NET Developer (Umbraco Expert)

YOUR ROLE AS FULL STACK .NET DEVELOPER

We are looking for a talented Project-Based Full-Stack .NET Developer with deep expertise in Umbraco to assist in migrating a site from Umbraco v4 to v15. This exciting project will involve working on a variety of tasks from planning, content migration, and frontend redevelopment, all while optimizing the user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Umbraco v15 Setup & Schema Rebuild: Set up a fresh Umbraco 15 site using .NET 9 + ASP.NET Core, recreating document types, data types, templates, and content structures.
• Content & Media Migration: Script export of content from Umbraco 4, migrating it to Umbraco 15, and ensuring media links are fixed and mapped correctly.
• Frontend Development: Rebuild frontend templates in Razor, ensuring responsive behavior, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
• QA & Testing: Ensure smooth transition by performing testing and collaborating on client feedback and user training.
• Go Live: Finalize deployment, manage DNS switch, and provide post-launch support.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge in C# and .NET 8/9, as well as ASP.NET Core.
• Expertise in Umbraco v10+, ideally v15, and experience migrating older versions of Umbraco.
• Experience with Razor, Umbraco API, ContentService, and MediaService.
• Ability to write data migration scripts.
• Frontend knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Razor Views.

Nice to have:

• Experience with uSync, SEO best practices, and handling 301 redirects.
• Familiarity with Azure or other hosting environments.
