POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Project Architect/ Project Manager to support their growing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages multiple small to medium sized projects including high end single family, hospitality and commercial
  • Establishes written project staff schedules with staff delegation, phase durations, milestones, submittals, etc. and coordinates with the management team
  • Expected to alert senior level architect/owner with critical issues, client schedule concerns, budget concerns, ethical concerns or policy matters
  • Manage all client correspondence regarding the design process, budgeting, billing matters, schedule, submittals and administrative issues while incorporating client expectations and overall project objectives
  • Ultimate responsibility for finished plans, specifications, design detailing, materials, technical drawings and construction administration for projects assigned
  • May prepare client proposals, estimates, and scopes of work
  • Assists in the preparation of client agreements and has an understanding of the scope of work within AIA agreements and documents
  • Responsible for drafting and managing consultant agreements and ensuring consultant services maintain compliance with the intended scope
  • Works with Director of Finance to execute timely invoicing, monitor and resolve billing questions and conflicts
  • Coordinates all consultants, or oversees consultant coordination by another team member and accepts all responsibility for correctness and efficiency
  • Manage and mentor all staff on all assigned projects, and coordinates staff requirements with management team
  • Expected to work independently to advance projects to meet schedule and budget, with occasional oversight
  • Requires use of advanced techniques and modification/extension of theories, precepts, and practices of individual's field

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of experience preferred; 3 to 10 years of experience in developing details and providing planning and design support in the preparation of design development drawings
  • Professional architectural or design degree preferred
  • Proficient in CAD systems, preferably Revit.
  • Proficient in rendering and presentation software applications (Lumion, Enscape)
  • Able to work independently on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts
