ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:
World Relief Spokane seeks an experienced, professional, highly motivated and organized leader to provide strategic vision and direction for our local Programs of Initial Resettlement. This position is an integral part of the World Relief Spokane leadership team is key to the vision of welcoming and promoting integration for refugees and asylees in the community.
This position oversees all aspects and staff of the Programs of Initial Resettlement, including: contract compliance and monitoring, staff supervision and training, community consultation and education, etc. This position requires the ability to work well with the office leadership team to create a healthy and collaborative environment within the context of a Christian organization.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.
Programs of Initial Resettlement
Oversee Programs of Initial Resettlement grant contracts and services
Ensure excellence in service delivery
Ensure contract compliance in regard to records and reporting
Complete annual abstracts and work with World Relief Home office to secure funding for programs
Provide fiscal oversight and ensure fiscal and reporting guidelines are understood and followed by PIR staff
Act as office liaison and advocate with relevant Federal and WA State stakeholders
Coordinate and lead Quarterly Community Consultations for community stakeholders, and state and city officials.
Provide consultation and training for community partners related to refugee resettlement
Prepare and submit proposals, budgets, and reports for government and private contracts
Ensure that contract reports are reviewed and submitted in a timely manner
Prepare internal monthly PIR reports for Finance Director
Oversee internal and external monitoring processes Staff Supervision and Training
Provide direct supervision to all PIR staff
Provide professional development to PIR staff through the creation of quarterly goals and provide accountability in reaching goals
Oversee hiring and corrective measures as needed for all Resettlement staff
Conduct or delegate annual PIR staff reviews
Ensure high quality, ethical service provision to all clients
Provide training to staff to ensure quality and consistency in service provision, documentation, and training compliance with government contracts
Create/update internal PIR-related policies as needed
Conduct weekly department meeting
Leadership
Work together with World Relief Spokane (WRS) Executive Director to embody and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Support the overall tone and culture of the office as set by WRS Executive Director
Proactively build unity internally and organization wide
Work with office leadership team to ensure a healthy, collaborative working environment
Interact with WR staff and external partners, volunteers, and other agencies in a way that represents the WR brand and standards of conduct
Oversee and develop refugee simulations
Participate in meetings and present as requested by Executive Director:
o All regular staff meetings
o Weekly Director’s meeting
o Monthly Leadership team meeting
o Other meetings as requested
Attend and represent World Relief Spokane at training and networking events locally and as requested by Executive Director and/or WR Home Office
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Mature and personal Christian faith
Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
Commitment to working with church and community partners, and volunteers
Minimum 3 years of experience managing resettlement staff and contracts
Proven track record of successfully leading a team
Experience managing grants, preferably government grants
Current driver’s license AND clean driving record
Authorization to legally work in the US
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA degree in social services or related field
