Programmer (AI)

Motorsport Games is a division of Motorsport Network; it is the home for a team that believes in the power of interactive virtual motor racing and putting people in control of their own motorsports story. We are the destination for the world’s major motorsport series and brands from NASCAR to Le Mans and Formula E. We operate along the entire vertical of development, publishing and competitive esports ecosystem.

As an AI Programmer, you will join an experienced cross-discipline team working on AAA PC and console titles, where your expertise, enthusiasm, and passion for technical excellence will help craft racing games with realistic and engaging vehicle behaviour.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of C++ programming experience
• Experience using Unreal Engine 4/5
• Ability to create and own complex systems
• Excellent debugging and optimisation skills
• Experience implementing navigation and decision-making AI systems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with designers and other programmers
• You strive to always learn and improve and enjoy imparting that knowledge to others

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of our AI systems and associated code and tools
• Design, develop, and implement advanced AI systems for vehicle control, pathfinding, opponent behaviors, and race strategies.
• Contribute to system architecture in a networked multiplayer environment
• Write and debug performant, easy to read C++ code.
• Help to reinforce teamwork and a healthy studio culture
