Programme Manager (12 month maternity cover)

Oversee and coordinate strategic projects in the scientific and commercial business units, ensuring successful delivery of critical outcomes while leading motivated teams.

About the role
The Assay Delivery Programme Manager will oversee and coordinate wide ranging strategic projects across the scientific and commercial business unit with the responsibility for successful delivery of Assays, Scientific Data, applications, commercial activities and other key business outcomes.

You will be collaborating with talented professionals in motivated and driven teams, providing operational level direction, project leadership support, and governance.

You will bring practical experience having been a project and programme manager for large and complex initiatives in relevant industrial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project leads of cross-functional biology teams to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across the full customer journey from application development to customer engagement
  • Coordinate with resource managers to effectively allocate resources and ensure provision of tools, training, and support for team members
  • Maintain a constant view of project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly.
  • As part of the leadership team work with peers to further develop existing processes, tools and records for project and program management
  • Facilitate and take a central role in communication across relevant business functions and teams, but predominantly: product management, market development, applications development, marketing, and customer support
  • Work with senior management and stakeholders to establish appropriate regular reporting
  • Use well established quality control processes and product life cycle to promote product reliability and performance, ensuring quality issues are raised prompt
  • Ensure an appropriate level of project documentation spanning requirements through to validation

Skills and Qualifications

  • Effectively communicate priorities and constraints, making strong connections across teams and sharing relevant information
  • Cell Biology background is essential, single cell biology is preferred
  • Agree course of action as a result of discussion of project and program related topics
  • Possess the skills required to settle disputes in the event of conflicting priorities
  • Find the right goals to chart progress across program and project
  • Excellent attention to detail applied in widely multidisciplinary projects
  •  Able to lead cross-functional teams where solutions come from multiple technical disciplines
