Welcome to tmp.

We're not just an agency; we're the trendsetters in the integrated era of B2B, armed with a global team of 300+ B2B specialists ready to unlock your potential. Our clients include the biggest names in the tech universe. We're talking partnerships with the trailblazers and the disruptors - working with them across the entire funnel to achieve the kind of growth that turns heads and wins awards. We thrive on identifying, recruiting, and nurturing talents and you're next on our list!

About the role:

At tmp, Programme Management Directors play a critical role in enabling great delivery across a portfolio, particularly within account management. This is a key, hands-on role, but it is not a functional leadership position. You’ll work closely with a Managing Partner, senior client leaders, and central operations teams rather than operating in isolation.

This role is best suited to someone who has grown from a Senior Project Manager or Programme Director background and is ready to operate at a portfolio level – coaching teams, embedding best practice, and helping client work run smoothly, commercially and operationally.

What we are looking for:

As a Programme Management Director, you’ll inspire confidence, promote delivery best practice, and help raise the standard of client service across your portfolio. You’ll act as a delivery enabler and coach, supporting teams to plan, manage and deliver work effectively while aligning to tmp’s values and global KPIs.

You’ll balance strategic thinking with pragmatism, helping teams deliver high-quality work that meets client expectations and commercial goals. You’ll partner with the Portfolio senior leadership on delivery, resourcing and commercial considerations, supported by established processes and central teams.

What you will do:

Client Programs & Delivery Enablement

  • Act as a best-practice advisor on delivery methodologies, supporting how work is scoped, planned and delivered across the portfolio.
  • Work with Managing Partners, Account Directors and function leads to shape delivery approaches that are scalable and aligned to client needs.
  • Support the planning and execution of centrally led delivery improvements within your portfolio.
  • Support prioritisation discussions where required, in partnership with the Portfolio Managing Partner and senior client leaders.

Mentorship & Team Development

  • Support recruitment and onboarding of Client Services delivery roles within the portfolio.
  • Coach and mentor delivery and account management colleagues to strengthen leadership, commercial awareness and delivery confidence.
  • Champion the delivery craft by supporting capability building, career development and consistent ways of working.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to drive quality and continuous improvement.

Commercial & Financial Support

  • Review high-level data on revenue recovery versus approved quotes, surfacing risks and supporting teams to put mitigation plans in place.
  • Work with project managers and account leaders to scope work effectively, manage margins and identify commercial risks early.
  • Support consistent commercial best practice across the portfolio, helping teams build strong financial understanding.
  • Work with workflow and account leadership to support utilisation planning and visibility of capacity.

Operational Portfolio Support

  • Support delivery planning and operational routines across the portfolio, ensuring consistency across clients and project types.
  • Partner with workflow, resourcing and function leads to help align capacity with forecasted demand and team wellbeing.
  • Act as a portfolio superuser for delivery tools and systems, supporting adoption and best practice.
  • Contribute to internal communications and reporting on delivery health and operational performance.
  • Support teams with research or identifying partners where needed.

New Business Support

  • Contribute to pitches and RFPs by providing input on delivery approach, resourcing and feasibility.
  • Support onboarding of new business to help teams mobilise work smoothly and at pace.

Success Is Measured By

  • Delivery roles within the portfolio achieving their utilisation targets
  • Recovery and profitability of quoted revenue (supported through strong delivery practice)
  • Your own utilisation at 35%
  • Successful recruitment and onboarding outcomes
  • Feedback from line managers and colleagues on coaching and delivery support
  • Client feedback

Requirements

Who you are:

You’re passionate about delivery excellence and creating strong client experiences. You bring calm, clarity and pragmatism to complex work, and you enjoy helping others do their best work.

You’re confident working with senior clients and colleagues, comfortable asking the tough questions, and motivated by improving how things get done. You bring energy, a solutions-first mindset, and a human approach to collaboration.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in a marketing agency environment (around 5–10 years, with B2B experience).
  • Strong account and programme management experience, with confidence applying delivery best practice.
  • Hands-on experience using project management tools and supporting teams to work effectively.
  • Credibility in working with senior clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Good commercial awareness and experience supporting larger, complex programs.
  • Confidence using core tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Generous holiday allowance (Plentiful PTO)
  • Shutdown between Christmas and New Year

  • Sustainable Future Giving. We want to help create a positive impact on our planet by donating to plant trees, tacking our impact, and helping to reduce emissions.

A note on applying

Not sure you tick every box? Apply anyway. Research shows some people hold back unless they meet 100% of the requirements. We do not want that to be you.

At tmp, we hire for potential, mindset, and character as much as experience. If you are excited about the role but your background is not a perfect match, we would still love to hear from you. You might be exactly what we are looking for, either for this role or another.

We are committed to building a diverse team because diversity fuels creativity and better results for everyone. We encourage applications from all backgrounds. If you need any accommodations during the process, just let us know.
