The Program Manager is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CORE’s community programs focused on improving and strengthening community equity and resilience. The Program Manager will work with CORE senior management to identify program goals, including identifying grant funded goals and timelines. The Program Manager will develop and monitor program budget, supervise staff, and deliver program reports to CORE senior management, funders, and other partners.
This is a grant-funded position that will last until 6/30/2026, with the possibility of an extension.

Main Responsibilities:
Manage grant program and collaborate with various organizational departments and implementation partners
Oversee programs and activities in accordance with program goals and objectives and the mission of the organization
Manage program fiscal budgets in conjunction with leadership and ensure financial compliance
Maintain compliance with grant guidelines, local, state, and federal laws, and organizational policies
Identify growth opportunities and create strategic plans to achieve program objectives
Assist in vision, research, and development of grant opportunities to expand departmental portfolio
Collaborates with other departments, leaders across the organization and other partners in the administration of the program
Works with internal/external stakeholders to maintain and further develop program growth, community outreach activities, as well as relationship building and maintenance
Plans, develops, coordinates, and organizes resources to meet program objectives; may be responsible for identifying program participants
Creates and fosters a collaborative and positive relationship building dynamic with internal staff and external agencies/organizations
Creates and manages relationships with a wide array of local, county and state stakeholders, fostering effective partnerships and community involvement
Responsible for developing and implementing any applicable education, training, on-boarding and/or mentorship of staff
Ensures compliance with grant guidelines, and local, state and federal laws
Maintains staff and program compliance with organizational policies and procedures
Researches, gathers, organizes and summarizes data for evaluating performance of program or other program operations
Develop, evaluate, recommend and implement procedures for data collection, management and quality control
Analyze data for trends or conclusions and presents results and recommendations to senior leadership
Represent CORE at selected community events

Scope and Travel:
Direct Reports: Program and Outreach Coordinators.
Travel: Travel within the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area and beyond for community events and partner meetings.
Qualifications:
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neurology, public health, community health or a related field.
Desired: Master’s degree in psychology, neurology, public health, community health or a related field
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years in program management relating to public health, preferably in the public or non-profit sector
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
Demonstrated experience with preparing and monitoring grant funded program budgets
Demonstrated experience working with data
Familiarity with community-based organizations
Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
Demonstrated experience working with youth (emphasis on Generation Z and/or Generation Alpha)
Skills & Competencies:

Strong grasp of mental health-related subject matter
High EQ; demonstrated success in managing diverse teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
Work proactively with little supervision

Bilingual in English and Spanish (or another language) is highly desirable
