What We’re Looking For 


At Northern, we’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Program Manager to lead the operation of one of our largest client programs. In this role, you will oversee multiple interconnected projects across Customer Experience, Digital Marketing, and Development Project Management, ensuring alignment with client and organizational goals. As a trusted expert on the client’s business, Northern’s delivery best practices, industry trends, and relevant technologies, you will partner with Account Managers to shape account strategy, identify growth opportunities, and orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results, improve client experiences, and drive revenue growth.

What You'll Be Doing


  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple interconnected projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted expert on the client’s business, industry trends, and Northern’s marketing and technology best practices.
  • Act as the primary client contact, providing high-value solutions and strategic guidance.
  • Consult with and influence clients on project prioritization, ongoing maintenance, and decision-making.
  • Manage project teams, agency resources, and workflows to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, success metrics, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, opportunities, and out-of-scope items across multiple workstreams.
  • Facilitate clear communication between clients and delivery teams, offering alternative solutions when needed.
  • Support account management by providing strategic insights, preparing proposals, and contributing to program profitability.
  • Mentor and guide PMO team members and collaborate with Revenue teams to uphold quality standards and priorities.
  • Present program status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and steering committees.
  • Represent Northern at networking events and build strong, long-term client relationships


What We’re Looking For


  • Education & Certification: 4-year Bachelor’s in Communications, Marketing, Technology, or related field. PgMP or PMP certification required; additional ecommerce, marketing, or project management certifications are a plus.
  • Program Leadership Experience: 7+ years leading large, complex programs in agency, web, or technology environments, including 5+ years with enterprise-scale, client-facing programs.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to anticipate trends, plan for the future, analyze complex problems, and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Results-Driven: Strong focus on outcomes, driving client success and operational efficiency across programs.
  • Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead internal teams, guide stakeholders, and influence decision-making with confidence.
  • Client-Facing Expertise: Skilled at building relationships, consulting with clients, and presenting strategic insights in compelling ways.
  • Problem Solving & Initiative: Proactive in identifying challenges, designing innovative solutions, and implementing them efficiently.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication, including public speaking, and the ability to align cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.


Compensation


This role has a target salary range of $75,000.00CAD - $110,000.00CAD, with final compensation determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills and direct experience, depth of role-related expertise, years of directly applicable experience, internal equity, and market alignment for the role. Compensation decisions also consider the scope and complexity of the position and are made in a manner consistent with our pay practices. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, which may include health & dental benefits, RRSP matching, Profit Sharing, and many additional perks.
