Program Manager, Community Health and Clinical Partnerships

The Program Manager, Community Health and Clinical Partnerships (CHCP) engages with the University of Notre Dame’s multidisciplinary research community and external partners to advance initiatives in health and well-being. Serving as a key representative of Notre Dame across the region and state, this role builds and sustains strategic relationships that support collaborative research, community-engaged projects, and sponsored programs.

The Program Manager serves as a project manager and supports projects and externally funded proposals and initiatives with community and clinical partners who may serve as Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs) or sub-grantees. This position plays a critical role in cultivating meaningful, long-term partnerships between Notre Dame and regional stakeholders to advance shared goals and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and collaborate with Notre Dame faculty and multidisciplinary research teams on community health and clinical partnership opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison and representative of the University of Notre Dame with regional and state community, clinical, and health-focused partners.
  • Manage and support collaborative projects and proposal development involving external partners.
  • Coordinate and manage regional projects, ensuring alignment with University goals, timelines, and partner expectations.
  • Develop and cultivate substantive, sustainable partnerships between Notre Dame and community organizations.
  • Convene partners and facilitate communication and coordination among faculty, administrators, and community colleagues throughout the lifecycle of projects.
  • Navigate and apply University systems, offices, policies, and procedures to support research and partnership activities.
  • Master’s degree; or
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience; or advanced certification beyond a Bachelor’s degree (e.g., CHES, MCHES, CHW, etc.)
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in community health, research administration, program management, community engagement, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners
  • Knowledge of the community landscape and familiarity with Notre Dame research, systems, offices, policies, and procedures (or ability to quickly acquire this knowledge)

Salary is up to $85,000 - commensurate with experience.
