We are seeking a Program Design Manager to lead the design and implementation of new programs and product changes within a fast-paced commercial insurance environment. In this role, you will clarify business requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure new carriers, products, and processes are effectively launched. Accountabilities

  • Clarify project scope and align on business objectives for new carriers, products, or other program changes.
  • Document detailed business requirements, including process and platform adjustments needed for implementation.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and provide updates on project objectives, progress, and outcomes.
  • Partner with technology teams to assess feasibility and ensure requirements are implemented correctly.
  • Support planning and execution of change management and go-to-market activities for new products.
  • Communicate program status and post-implementation follow-up to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Commercial business unit and facilitate adoption of new products.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and contribute to strategic initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in Underwriting or Product Development with commercial BOP products.
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with technology concepts.
  • Experience documenting business requirements and implementing process improvements.
  • Expertise in quoting and policy administration systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw sound conclusions.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: SQL experience and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
