Program Coordinator - Workforce Programs

TLDR

Support the implementation of workforce development programs through client engagement, service coordination, and compliance with funding requirements to meet agency goals.

Reports to: Project Manager, Workforce Development


Job Summary: The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation and administration of workforce development and self-sufficiency programs. This position assists with the coordination of services, client engagement, data management, and compliance-related reporting requirements. The Program Coordinator works closely with the Project Manager to ensure program objectives are met in alignment with agency goals and funding source requirements.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate interactive workshops and educational sessions for diverse audiences, including youth and adult participants
  • Lead group discussions that foster engagement, collaboration, and meaningful learning outcomes
  • Support ongoing program development efforts, including assisting with curriculum preparation, resource development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with client intake processes, including eligibility verification and accurate data entry into agency databases and case management systems
  • Coordinate scheduling for client appointments, workshops, meetings, and program activities to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Conduct client follow-ups to support engagement, track progress toward established goals, and document participant outcomes
  • Assist with event set up and coordination, including preparing materials, managing logistics, and supporting on-site program activities
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily program operations
  • Conduct participant surveys and collect feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Shadow financial counseling sessions to gain programmatic insight, support service coordination, and ensure accurate documentation of services provided
  • Maintain accurate and organized communication records in compliance with agency policies and funding source requirements
  • Contribute to the collection, tracking, and reporting of performance measures required for Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and other federal, state, local, and private funding sources
  • Supervise field trips and off-site program activities, ensuring participant safety and adherence to agency policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program objectives and agency operations


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Standard office environment. Requires the ability to operate a telephone and personal computer for extended periods.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Public Administration, or related fields preferred; or equivalent experience

Experience working in youth programming or structured youth-focused environment strongly preferred

Familiarity with grant-funded programs and compliance requirements, particularly CSBG, preferred

Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and meet the agency's insurability standards
