This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, high-impact healthcare initiative. As a Program Associate, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of a national program addressing oncology case backlogs. The position involves working closely with program managers and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient onboarding of credentialed specialists, smooth access to electronic medical records, and accurate reporting of program metrics. You will play a critical part in process improvement, stakeholder communication, and operational support. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Accountabilities:
Support program managers in vetting and onboarding Oncology Data Specialist–Credentialed (ODS-C) candidates
Ensure timely access to electronic medical records (EMR) and abstracting software for program participants
Prepare and maintain detailed monthly reports on program progress and performance
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Coordinate communications and collaboration between cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Assist with compliance and adherence to program policies and federal requirements
Requirements:
3+ years of project or program management experience supporting complex initiatives, preferably in healthcare or federal programs
Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, business administration, project management, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to support large, cross-functional teams while maintaining clear written and verbal communication
Familiarity with federal healthcare systems, policies, and directives, particularly within the Veterans Affairs context
Preferred: ODS-C credential through the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)
Preferred: Experience with VA data oncology abstracting software
Lean Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt) certification is a plus
