About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HCL Unica Services Leader to drive the successful implementation, client satisfaction, financial health (P&L), and growth of our HCL Unica practice. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of marketing technology, a proven track record in services delivery, and strong commercial acumen.
This is a critical, high-visibility role where the Professional Services Leader will directly influence the growth and success of a key strategic practice area. The Leader will have the autonomy to shape the delivery model, develop top talent, and drive significant business results in the dynamic field of enterprise marketing automation. The Professional Services Leader will work with HCL Sales Teams, Prospects and Clients in the Europe region. The position is based out of Europe.
Practice Leadership for Unica
Define and execute the overall strategy for the HCL Unica Services practice, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Lead new business development activities, including identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities for Unica implementations, managed services, and solution enhancements.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in client-facing sales and pre-sales cycles, presenting our Unica capabilities and value proposition to C-level executives.
Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with HCL and other relevant technology vendors.
Implementation and Delivery Excellence
Oversee the successful, on-time, and on-budget delivery of all HCL Unica implementation and upgrade projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Define and standardize delivery methodologies, project governance structures, and resource allocation models for Unica projects.
Manage a global or regional team of Unica consultants, solution architects, and technical specialists, fostering a culture of high performance and technical excellence.
Ensure technical solutions meet client business requirements, particularly around omnichannel campaign management, real-time personalization, and data integration.
Profit and Loss (P&L) Management
Hold full accountability for the financial performance of the HCL Unica practice, including revenue targets, gross margin, and overall profitability.
Manage resource utilization, optimize service delivery costs, and implement effective pricing strategies for various service offerings.
Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis, implementing corrective actions to meet or exceed P&L objectives.
Client Success and Relationship Management
Act as the Executive Sponsor for key client accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and adoption of the Unica platform, driving maximum ROI for clients.
Identify opportunities for account expansion, upselling, and cross-selling managed services and complementary solutions based on observed client needs.
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive experience in IT services, consulting, or marketing technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a significant technology practice (e.g., MarTech, CRM, Digital).
Deep functional and technical knowledge of the HCL Unica or competitive marketing platforms including best practices for architecture, integration, and performance.
Proven track record in P&L management and achieving financial growth targets for a services line.
Demonstrable experience leading and successfully delivering multiple large-scale Unica implementations or complex MarTech projects.
Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence C-suite clients.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
