This isn’t just another engineering role, you’ll be part of a collaborative team of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Architecture professionals working on projects that keep the nation moving. From Class I and shortline railroads to commuter rail agencies, transit, municipalities, ports, and private developers, you’ll help design and deliver solutions that matter.
What you’ll do:
- Work on a variety of projects, from fueling facilities, loading/unloading systems, maintenance facilities, tank farms, pump houses, railyard operations, and more.
- Develop plans, studies, and detailed designs for industrial mechanical systems and building systems. Create process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment layouts, and HVAC/plumbing systems.
- Support construction administration, interpret plans, observe operations, and ensure everything meets specs.
- Partner directly with clients and internal teams to define scope, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain quality standards.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Washington.
Experienced professional with 8+ years of experience designing building or industrial processing mechanical systems.
Proven experience designing mechanical system - including piping, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial processes.
Solid understanding of construction documents, specifications, and industry standards.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to manage project scope, budgets, and schedules effectively.
