Production Supervisor

About the Role

Supervise and motivate a multidisciplinary manufacturing & warehouse team, supporting development, training, and performance
- Own and execute the production plan—balancing quality, efficiency, and delivery targets
- Oversee shop-floor operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and champion innovation within your team
- Monitor production metrics, compile KPIs, and report insights to senior management
- Coordinate closely with Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, and leadership teams
- Manage equipment maintenance and calibration to minimise downtime
- Act as the technical authority on production processes, particularly optical systems
- Utilise ERP systems to manage work orders, scheduling, and production data
- Maintain accurate documentation, training records, and compliance standards
- Act as a Laser Safety Officer for the Company
- Degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Strong background in electronics and laser-optics systems (approx. 3 years)
- Proven experience supervising a team within high-tech manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of process-controlled environments and production systems
- Experience with ERP and standard software tools (e.g Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills
- Lean Manufacturing or Six-Sigma (desired)

We anticipate a salary between £42,000 and £52,000 for this role, depending on the candidate’s experience.
