Your Role:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production floor operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and team performance across assigned departments. This role serves as the primary link between Production Operators and Management, driving execution of SOPs, supporting employee growth, and ensuring production goals are met.
This role collaborates closely with Production Management, Engineering, QA/QC, Facilities, and HR to maintain smooth, safe, and efficient operations across the factory floor.
Core Duties
Lead and support daily operations for assigned production teams, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and conduct regular check-ins to support growth and accountability
Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, and company policies
Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate production blockers, quality issues, or equipment concerns
Address employee disputes, incidents, or injuries and complete required documentation
Participate in performance reviews and provide feedback on employee performance and readiness for growth
Serve as a communication bridge between Production staff and Management
Daily Responsibilities
Review and complete employee timecards daily, including overtime notes, missed lunches, and absences
Conduct daily team check-ins and workplace spot checks
Monitor dashboards and metrics to track throughput, WIP, yields, and machine status
Submit or deliver daily production reports to Management
Coordinate inventory checks and ensure proper receiving and reporting of deliveries
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and people management skills in a production or manufacturing environment
Ability to interpret production metrics and identify trends or issues
Clear, professional communication (verbal and written)
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of SOP-driven manufacturing environments and safety standards
Valid CA Driver’s License
Experience & Knowledge Requirements
2-3 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or operations leadership role
Experience supervising hourly employees
Familiarity with timekeeping systems, production dashboards, and task-tracking tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment
Comfortable working with Google Suite and other desktop applications
Nice to Have
A curiosity in 3D printers and how they operate
Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and general computer-based tools (Notion, Slack, etc.)
Familiarity with using dashboards, metrics, or reporting tools (Grafana, Asana, etc.)
Prior involvement in performance reviews, coaching, or employee development
