As a Production Planner at our dynamic manufacturing start-up, you will play a key role in supporting production planning and the implementation of an MES system in a highly automated and roboticized environment to drive operational excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate technologies and workflows, and to ensure real-time data visibility across the enterprise. This is an opportunity to support the scale-up of an exciting manufacturing business leveraging cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate brings robust technical expertise, experience in the automated woodworking industry, exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for world-class manufacturing.
What you’ll do
- Support implementation of MES software in a highly automated production environment.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for the required end users.
- Maintain Machine Monitoring and Reporting (MMR) data integration.
- Collect and analyze production data to improve efficiency and scheduling accuracy.
- Act as the primary point of contact for MES-related issues and enhancements.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to analyze and improve manufacturing workflows using MES.
- Schedule plant production based on product mix and routing
- Report on Production Efficiencies and create/maintain visual dashboards for equipment performance tracking.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Operations and Design teams to ensure optimized execution of production plan.
- Support Integration of MES with ERP, CAD, and other factory information systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and real-time availability for production decision-making.
- Provide end-user training, support, and documentation for MES applications.
- Participate in system validation, testing, and change management processes.
- Monitor MES performance, troubleshoot problems, and propose solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Woodworking or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a MES Specialist, Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
- Solid understanding of Homag equipment and cMES.
- Solid understanding of Woodworking machining processes and automation.
- Experience in Cabinetry OR Woodworking Industry is a must.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $57,500 - $87,500. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply.
You are also eligible to participate in Stelumar’s annual bonus program which gives you the opportunity to increase your total compensation if business and individual goals are achieved.
