Position Overview - Production Operator I

This position bonds all panels on the day’s daily production schedule. They are responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the glue line. They work with both Laminate and Core Staging to report and replace any laminate or core that is damaged during the process. Performs other tasks as required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
  • Checks and places materials in the correct bin
  • Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
  • Informs supervisor and photographs all defective materials
  • Pull laminate and core in correct order of production schedule to fill pending panel orders
  • Reads, interprets, processes and packs orders
  • Assists with other warehouse duties based on business need
  • Assists the needs of the customer

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to learn materials inventoried
  • Ability to learn packing techniques
  • Ability to learn proper material handling techniques
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to drive a lift truck
  • Ability to read and understand customer orders
  • Ability to learn to operate industrial machines. (Panel Line / CNC / Panel Saw)
  • Ability to read job or part schematics to ensure correct specifications

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED 

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 1+ years of work history


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50lbs).
